　　The Williams Laboratory at Columbia University Medical Center and the Columbia University Fertility Center are offering an exciting postdoctoral fellowship position to a highly motivated applicant. The post-doc will use and develop cutting-edge technologies in nanopore-based sequencing and analysis, molecular biology, biochemistry and genomics to develop novel tools and approaches for genetic testing of clinical samples primarily relating to reproductive medicine and developmental biology including testing of circulating extracellular RNAs (exRNAs) derived from the placenta and testing of embryos, miscarriage samples, amniocentesis and CVS samples.

　　This represents a unique post-doc opportunity to be involved in a large NIH consortium project, interact with the top labs in nucleic acid research and have an independent project requiring innovative and original thinking. This position will provide valuable experience for a career in either academia or industry.

　　Applicant Requirements: Applicants must have a Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent degree. Useful skills for this project include experience in molecular biology, assay development, chemistry, engineering, DNA and RNA Seq analysis and bioinformatics. Essential qualities include creative and original thinking, problem-solving abilities, good interactions with colleagues and a dedication to serious research and quality science.

The project will involve work with collaborators at The Rockefeller University as well.
